Established in 2018, 1816 Bakehouse is an artisan sourdough bakery in the heart of Ballarat. Our team, led by head baker Josh Chapman, is proud to bring our range of sourdough breads and house made pastries, hand made pies and freshly filled sandwiches to the Ballarat community.
Mrs Baker’s Still House
Family owned, family run. Mrs Baker’s Still House is located at Wimmera Hills Winery; where Jane and Benjamin Baker planted a vineyard and raised their kids on the farm. In 2016 they delved into their next adventure, the distillation of gins and liqueurs. Many of the botanicals used in the gins are grown in Mrs Baker’s gin garden.

Quartz Hill is a small family run winery and vineyard near Avoca in the Victorian Pyrenees winegrowing district. Only 35 minutes from Ballarat, we grow our grapes using biodynamic practices. Varieties include Syrah (Shiraz), Viognier, Mencia, Grenache and Touriga.
Grape Farm Winery
Grape Farm Winery is a small family tended vineyard located in its own breath-taking natural amphitheatre in the Pyrenees. Established in 1976, the vineyard comprises ten acres of mature Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay vines, as well as newer plantings of Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Viognier.
