Traditional Lands of the Central Highlands in Victoria

The place that we live and farm in the Central Highlands is located on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung, Eastern Maar, Wotjobaluk, Dja Dja Wurrung, Wadawurrung and Djab Warrung peoples and comprises important cultural heritage assets.

These groups are the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land. The Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung, Eastern Maar, Wotjobaluk, Dja Dja Wurrung, Wadawurrung and Djab Warrung peoples continue to be active today, working to manage and care for Country and develop strong and resilient communities.

This project of the Regional Drought Resilience Planning program received funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and the Victorian Government.
