Backyard to Bottle

  • 155 Dairy Flat Road Musk, VIC, 3461 Australia (map)

Have you ever wondered how to turn apples from your own backyard into crisp, delicious cider? Join us at Daylesford Cider for Backyard to Bottle - a hands-on session that blends practical tips for home cider making with insights into how we do it on a larger scale.

When you join us, you'll learn about heritage apple varieties and how they shape flavour. We will talk about how to balance sweetness, fermentation lengths, and the best approaches to bottling.
Along the way you will also have the opportunity to taste cider at different stages of fermentation. The end of the session will wrap up with a guided tasting of three award-winning ciders! Each of these releases will showcase a different style and technique.

We’re also thrilled to welcome the team from Hepburn Springs Brewing Co. The owners behind this independent brew-pub and distillery in nearby Hepburn Springs will present a 20 minute session introducing the full brewing process.
The presentation will cover each major stage - malting, mashing, fermentation, and packaging. They'll be offering a clear and engaging look at how quality beer is crafted from start to finish.

This one-off, unique event is perfect for the curious backyard cider maker/brewer or anyone wanting a deeper appreciation of genuine craft drinks.
